ExBeen
A digital presence for ExBeen, a relationship community and podcast with a point of view on the stories that shape us.

Personality with a purpose
ExBeen brings conversations about relationships into a shared space. The creative task was to give those conversations a recognisable home, with enough personality to feel like the brand.
Identity and website direction work together through expressive typography, considered colour and a straightforward content journey. The result brings the brand’s community and storytelling into one visual language.
What has your experience been?
ExBeen brings together “ex” and “been”: a name rooted in what someone has experienced, in relationships and across their life journey. The creative opportunity is to make personal history feel like a starting point for connection.
The human problem
A story-led platform needs to feel welcoming before it asks someone to share. Visitors need to understand what belongs here and how to find a story that feels relevant.
The identity logic
The identity needs to carry a memorable name without competing with the people behind the stories. A clear wordmark and consistent typography give the platform recognition; editorial space gives each contribution room to breathe.
The digital direction
The website direction puts an introduction before exploration, and exploration before participation. Consistent content cards help visitors scan, choose and move between stories without learning a new layout each time.

Where the work begins.
A broad idea about lived experience can be difficult to explain in a single visit.
What the work brings together.
A distinct name and an editorial structure give the idea a clear introduction and a repeatable home for stories.
